tkISO

A new item, a collab between [H]arsh and the people over at Thinkkink tonight.

To be exact - Darien Caldwell did the mesh, the animations come form Daisy Creations, the hair from Damona Kanik, and the coding done by Ilana Debevec and  Chloe1982 Constantine.

I've being asked not to call it a drone suit, but an ISO

 Appearance

When you first put it on, you'll be smooth, shiny, and coated in white latex. You have a choice of 32 built in colours on top of that, and its mod, so you are free to recolour it to your hearts content using the RGB system.

On top of that, its in a series of parts, so you can recolour individual pieces, like the head, faceplate, hair, etc, or via mod even turn them invisible. You'll need another Alpha if you do that, but allows you to adjust it to fit a lot of other pieces of gear if you so wish.

However, you then have the option to switch to a materials textured outfit, by hitting the Seamed option. Aside from the faceplate, this then appears to be a nice, tight catsuit with attached openfaced hood, and is perhaps one of the best examples of how much a difference a materials texture makes. Seriously, people who leave materials off are missing out when it comes to stuff like this.

Its fitted mesh, which will generally stick to your shape, buts its far from a flawless system still, so the alpha will more than likely be needed.

Unlike most outfits of this type, this ones heels aren't ballet, and while still tall, and built into the suit, seem far more reasonable for the kind of long term wear you'd be forced to do in such an outfit. Quite a refreshing change. If you want ballets, well you can hide the boots via Edit, and adjusting transparency.

You can hide the faceplate via edit as well, if you find a face only alpha, you might be able to get it to look quite good, though I have a few issues with my headshape, its still worth a try.

Function

You need to wear both the suit and the hud that comes with it if you want to speak, a precaution to prevent issues such as the particle effect objects make when speaking. It also does not seem to block IM by default, as it should be. You'll also have a HUD pop up when locked in, to simulate the faceplate. It makes a not bad photoframe.

The first option is Style, which is where you cover the stuff mentioned above, such as switching between seamed and seamless modes. Following that is Locking. In here are three options. Lock does as it says, Unlock as well, and as for Public.. well, you'll be in danger unless you are very careful. You'll be locked out of the menu completely, and at the mercy of anyone nearby. There's also Privileged which only appears if/when you add someone to that system via the Operators menu, covered below. This also locks you out of the menu, but only allows people added to the suit to access it.

Restrict is a big menu. There are four submenus within, each related to a specific part of you. Talk lets you adjust how clearly you speak, as well as adjust the IM restrictions. It also adjusts emotes, but not by themselves, so sadly if you want to garble your speaking, your emotes will be garbled as well. This needs a fix

Move doesn't hobble, but adjusts things such as TP, flying, sit, etc, and also has another submenu, Freeze. In here you can set a distance, and whether they need to be within a certain range, or far enough away. You get a 30 second window to fulfill the requirements, with gradually more and more restrictions, the last two of which are IM block and being unable to move.

See adjusts things such as names, the map, etc, with a submenu for View which has a selection of windlight options that the captive will have to suffer through. Most are quite jarring, and make somethings harder to see, as you might expect. There doesn't appear to be a clear option.

Lastly we have Touch which has three different menus inside. As you might expect, it has options for stopping far touch, touch self, etc if you choose to do so, as well as allowing or preventing you from adding clothes and attachments, and inventory related restrictions. When you activate a touch restriction, the gloves change into snug little mitts.

As the wearer, your next menu is Timer, the classic, ever nice option. You can choose to add or remove via a couple of buttons at the bottom, anywhere from 5 minutes to.. 28 days. It has a second menu that allows you turn the timer on/off or pause it, as well as letting you swap between RL and SL time, and a restart option. Timer for 28 days.. 27 days and 23 hours later, your captor accidentally hits restart.. I'll leave your reaction up to your own imagination.

The final menu is Operators, mentioned above. This is where you can add or removed "privileged" people who can access the suit at any time, locked or not. There's also a Banned list, which stops them ever access it, even when on public, an extremely handy option as far as I am concerned, and one more restraints should use.

As another user, should the person be on public, you get two options when you first try to access it. Take over and Walk away. Both are self explanatory. You also have a Relinquish option in the locking menu, that leaves them stuck on public, but you no longer control them.

Once inside, you have access to the first four menus covered above, as well as two new ones, Punish  and Rename. Punish lets you choose form three options, and torments the persons breasts, rear or "Da Monkey" as they call it. Its not a stretch to guess what area that is. They have some custom animations, of you clutching the afflicted area and rolling around, as well as some sound effects. Mostly zapping and muffled cries.

Rename opens an input box that you type a name you want in, which will then appear as "ISO/<your text>". If a timer is running, you can only add to it, or Punish the wearer while its on public.

As privileged, you can access at any time, as well as give more people access, ban people, change the lock type or relinquish it, freely adjust the timer, etc.

Other info

I've being informed that updates are planned, for free of course. If it lacks something now, don't worry as it may get it added in an update soon.

My thoughts

I like it. That's pretty much a given. Hopefully the updates will make the hood more functional with the faceplate hidden, to make it even more customizable than it is already. The *big* issue is that emote blocking when you garble. Lets hope that gets fixed quickly. Otherwise my only real gripes are the hair, when set to black, is more grayish, but is mod so not a major issue, and the IM block during freeze.

It costs 1199 Linden

Pic 1- A selection of reds, showing off  various parts you can adjust, using Seamed

Pic 2 - As it is out of the box, white, with black hair. Seamless mode

Pic 3 - The hud, mitts, with hood hidden. Also Seamed (needs a different alpha to the included.) Sorry its a bit dark, the restrictions and all

KaS Hobbledress

Salid delivers on Christmas. And its 60% off, so get it quick!

Appearance

Amazing, is the words I will use for this. Some of the best mesh clothing I've seen. Amazing detail, lots of options, colour hud, plenty of sizes, and is structured properly. When the mittens are on, you can see them layered and buckled in place to the dresses shoulders for example. And I'm 99% sure it uses materials to add a gloss effect without even needing Shine on.

I recommend anyone on the base SL viewer, RLV or Firestorm (and any other viewer with recent updates to materials ready) get on the bandwagon, cause this looks its best with it. Motion adds a lot of course, which I can't show here, but still.

Its Hud allows you to adjust a lot of options.Various covers, the mittens, the sleeves when mittens are off, pretty much everything it  could need.

You have three skirts, short, knee and long. Two sleeves, long and short, and I think can go with none. Mittens as well. Its comes in six sizes, the base one in the box, and five (XXS-L) in boxes should you need to fine tune it more.

The only bad part? The long skirt currently clips with her ballet boots, for those that like the idea of making your captive (or self) barely able to take a step with even more difficulty than just one or the other. No doubt this will be sorted soon.

Whats more, the Short and knee length ones could be used as just a normal rubber dress, they look great alone, without RLV needed.

I'll leave the pictures to show off the best parts, because I'm not sure I'm the best to describe them. So much so that I am putting four instead of my usual three. Top right shows the long dress, with mittens. Top left shows the knee with short sleeves, bottom right shows the short and long sleeves, and last one shows the back of the dress, the white areas are removabled.

Function

The other important thing of course. This uses a similar touch system to the corset, a hidden box around your waist for ease of access. The first menu allows you to lock it, lock its current style (colour, etc), lock the AO, set a timer, etc. Everything you need to keep yourself or captive tottering around. The second is the owners menu, which is standard KaS fair. Add, emergency, and current if you have any.

The next is mittens, for when you strap that extra layer over your arms (or the captives!). They allow five separate options for touching. Close touch, no world touch, others attachments, own attachments (bar dress), and self touch dress. Allows for some customising of your (subs) dexterity.

Openings is a rather nice set of options. It lets you hide the undersuit in various areas. You can hide the torso, butt and legs, so yes you can have them fully covered in two layers of rubber, with their rear exposed for whatever evil things you wish to do.

In the next menu, you adjust the hobble, the key part of the dress. You can turn on the walk AO, the walk type, which has three kinds, and a random option to change as you go. Slow Walk, which does what it says on the tin, and lastly Stand AO, for when stationary, which your probably will be a lot in this outfit.

Lastly we come to options. You can adjust the chat command for the menu here (default is /7dress) for use when the following option Use Chat, is enabled. Its off by default. The ever important update button is there, for when Salid decides to make this thing even better. The reset option and the very handy auto-alpha system. Once enabled, and if you have the alphas from the marketplace in your RLV folder (see below), then you can alter the dress style with much less hassle, no alpha juggling needed.

My thoughts

Right now, until the 29th I think it is, its 60% off. Buy it. Tell your friends to buy it. Tell strangers to buy it. This is the only hobble dress in SL currently worth owning. Do I need to say more? Its currently 335 linden.

Link for the alphas - https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/KaSHobbleDressAutoAlphaLayers/5614534 Just drop em in the RLV folder as they are, and away you go.

Sunshine Technology - Leather Mittens

Another new (for me) store tonight, this time called Sunshine Technology

Appearance

These mitts have a fairly new design for SL, not quite like any others I know of on the market so far. They are made of leather, seem to be padded, and as expected, have a snug strap to ensure you can't slip them off.

They come with 9 base colours for the leather and strap, and 9 again for the metal parts, although with some variances (such as steel). You can also freely tint using the [custom] button and inputting the RGB value.

They also have the store logo on them for good measure, just so your sub knows who to chase whenever they finally get free of the confines of their mitts. It has some nice touches, like the padlock on the buckle actually closing when locked, but open when unlocked.

All in all, quite a nice look, nothing I can really complain about. They are mod as well, if you want to turn shiny on, and not too hard to fit either. There's a couple of alphas, one for hiding your entire hands, another for hiding half your hand, leaving the wrists available.

Function

First and foremost is the Timelock. In here you can set up a few things, such as Public mode and Wearer only. I believe when locked, only the keyholder can adjust it, and it you timelock yourself well.. I think you know by now what happens.

Colour is self explanatory. In here you can adjust the Leather (main part of the mitt), the strap, and the metal. You can also just use the three presets here which are Red/Black (default), Black/Red, and Pink/black.

The third button adjusts touch. It defaults to no far touch, when changed to World, you can;t touch anything, and no block is.. Self explanatory actually.

Finally there is the lock button. Pressing this will lock the mitts on the wearer, be it you or someone else, and take the key away. When you lock yourself, you get a little message informing you that you trapped yourself.. But thankfully it auto activates a half hour timelock as well for good measure. NOTE: if you disable the timelock, this timer will not activate. Similarly, if you disable it, adjust the time, then lock, it doesn't undisable. You'll need to find help if you do not re-enable it after adjusting.

When someone else locks your mittens, they get full access to the timelock, the touch restrictions and the colour changing, leaving them free to humiliate you with neon pink mitts against whatever outfit you are forced to wear by your captor.. Beware!

My thoughts

These mitts are very nice. Yes they might seem basic, but they do what they need to, they look pretty good, and are the cheapest on the market at 149 linden.

Oh and my pics all ahd the mitts edited to have shiny on low, force of habit, forgot to turn off before taking them and I'm WAY too lazy to fix that.

RF Mittens V2

New review.. Lot of RL stuff going on lately so had to slow down big time.

RF has released a new set of mittens, pure mesh this time. Being awhile since I did anything of theirs

Appearance

Now first off, my previous review still stands in many ways, but in terms of options? Lots more.

It has 10 different mitt styles this time, combined with wrist or sleeve/opera options that equal 20 different looks for the mittens, and of course recolouring is there as well. Some of the new mitts are a bit.. Well if you're not into Amputee, you may not want to use them.

The designs are as follows - Dildo, Doll, Hook, Nubby for the more.. amputee options, Then you have straight (the original look), ball, paw, hoof and fist, fist being the original folded over. Katie also said that this new setup allows her to add new designs of mittens very easily. Ball and hoof are featured in the pictures.

Its worth noting that the Doll Mittens are NOT inflatable/ball, but a sort of pouch with a hole going through it that shows no hand is within.. or a hole has being cut through the hand.

The cuff design has changed as well, to thinner more slender cuffs as opposed to the wide thicker looking ones the previous set used. These can also be shown or hidden as you like.

The sleeves this time are built into it completely, so just need to be hidden or shown instead of attaching a whole different set of restraints. All in all some nice changes, if questionable for some people.

The bad? Well they don;t seem as tight this time.. Before they seemed snug to my wrists/upper arms, now theres a noticeable gap which is annoying to say the least. Its somewhat visible in the two images showing the mitts off, and I posted another one specifically showing the issue. The recolouring is I believe the same as the originals, leather and latex textures in various colours. Otherwise everything else is the same.

Function

Not a lot has changed here.  The escape mini-game is still there, similarly the mitts will lock you out if you mitten yourself without taking the keys first. Top left to bottom right menu wise you have style, done in the usual RF style, followed by the plugins page. Most of the plugins are RFs usual ones, and of course the RLV menu giving folder access, restrictions, etc is here as well.

The Touch Object menu is next. In it it lets you choose three options to try and touch an object near you (thats touchable of course.). You can change it to publicly announce your attempts, or be silent as well.

Following this is the RLV On/Off button, and then the settings menu, from which you can turn on Expose, Verbose, get the leash holders, help NC and update of course. The Keys menu is as expected, if keys are hanging, then you can just take them, then of course give them away if you so desire.. or give them to someone else if you are the captor.

Under restraints you can of course bind your captive, the same 6 poses as the previous set I believe. You can also hide or show the sleeves here, and change the mitten type. Makes sense really, its the captor who decides what to pull on you (or chop off you.. ). Lastly there is Sub Anims, which has 39 anims in it now, up from the previous 24 of the previous set.

Once the keys are taken, some menus change location and some new appear. Timelock for example shows up, and its self explanatory by now, lock appears, and the keys menu gets fleshed out to include the masterkey options, give keys, etc.

Closing thoughts

A nice update, new mitten types are nice, though some do both me and will be blacklisted. Katies explanation for releasing as a new product and not an update makes sense as well, and the original are now lowered to 200 linden in price, while these new ones are 500

Appearance - New looks are nice. Looser sleeves/mitts are not, score remains unchanged - 9/10
Function - Exactly the same as the previous set, and I gave them 10 so.. - 10/10
Price - 500, an increase over the previous set, though it does bring more looks to the table - 8/10

Maison Broceliande Latex Surrender

Another from MB

Quality

This box comes with a halfton of skin layer hoods, a latex catsuit, mittens, posture collar and "Isolation panels" that have two gags and a blindfold built in. All of them are very well detailed. The mittens are the hand sack style, just two bags over the hand and buckled in place so the finegrs scratch uselessly at the material. The gag has a panel style, and a breather gag style (more on this in function). Breather has a pump added, otherwise no changes.

I love the catsuit you get with it though. Since I bought this gear nearly 2 years ago now, its been one of my most used outfits. Shiny in the right places, very well designed and generally looks great.

The skin layer hoods use a similar style, but the ones that cover mouth suffer from the same issue as all Skin/Tattoo layer hoods, the lips seem just too clear. I'm all for tight hoods that you can see an impression of the lips through, but this just does noy look right. Thankfully when gagged you can't see them, and to be honest they do look better with the gag active. All the more reason to keep your sub quiet.

I (as usual) recomend using an alpha to hide your hands as opposed to resizing the mittens, far easier and better solution.

They can have their textures changed by saying paneltex, mittentex or collartex in open chat. I had an issue where only the left mitten changed colour however.

There is also a rubber labia and prim nipples in the box.

 Function

Starting with the Isolation Panels. You lock them merely by clicking the wearers face. Inside are 3 options. Gag, breathgag and unblindfold. The gag requries you to manually use a channel, else all messages come out as "...". The blindfold of course has a hud that it sends you should you have your eyes covered, but it seems ot only send once per blinding, so if refused, you don;t get spammed by it constantly.

The breath gag has its own quirk. When inflated, you will periodically be required to put a code into a specific channel (a window pops upt o tell you as opposed to a chat message). If you miss it, you faint.

The posture collar does nothing specific, no menus bar collartex, it just holds your head up.

The mittens seem to carry a little bit. Owners, poses and two binding options. The binding positions are simple enough, lock front and lock back. It comes with kneel and nadu built into it for psoes, but you can drop others in. They can then be used via chat commands.

Ultimately this restraint show its age with far too many chat commands and not enough buttons.

Scores

Quality - I can;t fault it much, it looks really good, especially for such an old item now - 9/10
Function - it does do a fair bit, but its quite clunky and needs some optimizing/updating - 6/10
Price - 680 linden. Most outfits of this quality cost more, so thats a plus, especially when combined with decent restraints - 8/10

MD Rubber Mittens

An MD product tonight, the third and last pair of mittens I own.

Quality

I'm a little biased here, as I am not fond of inflatable bondage gear, but still, these do look pretty good for what they are. They turn your hands into useless round orbs, with the nozzle ofr the pump sticking out the end and a snug cuff around the wrist to keep them on. They are also, as they should be, shiny.

They can be recoloured via a plugin, carrying 10 colours. The cuff, the cuff strap and the mitten itself can all be recoloiured seperatly. As its MD, its fairly high quality, showing off the stitches in the cuffs amounst other little details.

Function

The first option you'll notice (If you lock them, or are locking someone elses) Is the notouch option with an X next to it in the top left. Click it to turn trh X into a tick and it'll do as the name suggest and what mittens are supposed to do, stop you touching and using things with your hands. Following that is a timelock and a leash, both expected.

Under Plugins you'll find the meat of the mittens. Theres the owner system, one Primary, some secondary, who have access at all times. The picklock tool for when you need help to get out, due to been locked for too long, having the locker lose access, or because someoen was an ass and locked you and left. The color menu is in here as well, followed by give keys, always a handy plugin and the groupkey, allowing anyone in your active group to access the mittens.

Back in the main menu, you have the RLV menu which does the usual restrictions and gives folder access, Public, which is pretty much expose. When turned on, yuo can no longer access the restraint unless someone kindly turns it off and unlock.

Despite having a cuff at the wrist, it has no bondage poses built in.

RF Mittens

I'm back from London! Time for a review of an item that was released while I was down south.. A very nice item indeed.

The RF bondage mittens. First off - they look GREAT. No more need be said. The design is very good, close up you can see all the stitches, the latex is nice and shiny.. the cuffs look good, and they even include a first for SL - opera glove length versions. For those of us that use mesh anyway (Why doesn't everyone for gods sake? its brillaint!)

You can also unmitten, which leaves a cuff around your wrists, but otherwise no restrictions.

For altering the appearance, theres quite a few options. You cna adjust the shine (off, low, medium, high) and choose from a variety of rather latex or leather textures to colour it as you see fit. You can adjust the strap, mitten, metal, the pad and the cuff seperatly. It also comes with 24 sub anims built in.

It includes an escape game, which you most likely will end up doing at least once. These mittens carry a very large risk. If you bind yourself without taking the keys first? You're stuck unless some nicer person comes and frees you, or you complete the mini-game. Similary if someone activates teh timelock, then frees you and you take the keys? Stuck. Very evil device. They can of course be exposed to the public at the great risk of removing any chance of freeing yourself unless you do. Make sure to have them proteced if you are messing around and testing.

They include an interesting little mini-game as well. When next to an object, you can try to interact with it via the "touch object" option. This brings up a mini-game with 3 options and you can attempt to put in the right sequence to touch something.

A first for mittens, at least those that I have used - These include binding positions. 6 to be exact, as well as just having the mittens out. Good on Katie for saving us putting cuffs on over the mittens.

They include the typical RF plugins such as mannequin, future bind, etc. and of course a leash. They also include a fully functioning RLV relay, folder access and the other usual RLV options, such as restrictions and auto TP. Lastly they have some sounds built in as well (locking, belt and bell.. Not entirely sure about what the second two do with the mittens not found an option to add a bell to them.)

Theres the masterkey plugin as well as sec owners for those that prefare to give more private access.

In the box you'll find a lot of objects. It boils down to the prim used to activate the mittens, used regardless of mesh or not, a sculpty version and two sets of mesh mittens (basic and opera).

Slick! Isolation hood and Mittens

Onto gear only available via the marketplace! The slick hood and mittens.

Hood

Appearance

Its unique, somewhat like an aviator helmet meets a hood. In terms of look choices you have - 6 rubber textures, 6 leather and 6 metal. Its also mod, so you can freely adjust stuff like shine if you so wished.

The nose holes can be toggled. The gags don't visually change anything, nor does the blindfold. Adjusting whether the hood is in plain locked, unlocked or public modes does change the light on the back of the collar however. Similarly using the earmuffs changes those glowing rings on the side of your hood.

Function

The hood has quite a lot. When you first click, you get the option to lock. From there you get the meat of the options. The first 3 options are tickboxes. Lock, No Touch and Public. If you use public? Yeah, you're stuck unless some kind person turns it off. Or takes you home and plays with you. Either could be fun.

Next up is gags. there are a few options in here, which stack actually. The muffler makes you whisper, the mouth gag option, which is standard gagging really, garbling. Expand is fun, making you very hard to understand . The last one is throat gag.. and this is nasty. It blocks emotes and chat, sending out messages of its own instead of just '...' at least. Also in this menu is Deny emote and Deny IM

The blindfold is next. It uses windlight/environmental settings to blind instead of a HuD, so effective at keeping you blind no matter what. Three levels of blinding. Tint Glass is faint, blur is pretty effective, and blind is.. blind. There's also mouselook here.

The earmuffs are simple enough, three options. Deaf turns the hoods glowing rings red, and makes chat not work. No Emotes apparently fills your ears with white noise, making it hard to concentrate enough to see what people are doing, and No IMs does not need an explanation.

the leash is next, simple to use. Timelock as well, just make sure to turn it on after setting the time up. Appearance lets you adjust the texture to the rubber, leather or metal ones, and turn the nose holes on/off.

In the bottom row there is one option, Advanced. You can make the hood be quiet in local. get you the hood NCs, update it and lastly turn on hardcore mode. Hardcore disables the reset option, and can't be turned off once its on. Use at your own discretion. The reset button turns up if you have RLV off.

Mittens

Appearance

Padded, with a zip running down the back of the mitten and a white pad over your palm. They have the same amount of textures and colours as the hood. The white wristband and pad cannot be adjusted via the appearance menu however, so you'll need to manually use mod to change that. Can also add shine this way.
Function

Functionally, this thing is quite similar to the hood. There's the Public plugin again, same case as the hoods. Turn ti on and you can only hope someone is kind enough to help and/or kidnap you.

Touch is next, it lets you adjust the restrictions on, you guessed it, touching. Near touch, or in other words disabling far touch, is self explanatory. No Objects means you can't touch stuff lying around, not self means nothing you have on, and lastly Not Others doesn't let you mess with others stuff. There's also Not Mittens, meaning you can touch your own mitts.

The inventory menu is a bit different, letting you restrict Images, Notecards, edit or your entire inventory. Those first two especially aren't common to see. After this you get timelock and Appearance, both the same as the hoods. Likewise for Advanced.

My thoughts on both

I like these items, though I admit I don't use em much. They are both good and bad for RP, depending on your captor, and as usual, deny IM makes me go ugh. I suppose for Sci Fi RP though, the hood would be very good.

Updates!

Sorry for the delay, RL has being rather hectic this past month and has made getting posts out rather difficult. So to start.. New Relea...
