RF Mittens

I'm back from London! Time for a review of an item that was released while I was down south.. A very nice item indeed.


The RF bondage mittens. First off - they look GREAT. No more need be said. The design is very good, close up you can see all the stitches, the latex is nice and shiny.. the cuffs look good, and they even include a first for SL - opera glove length versions. For those of us that use mesh anyway (Why doesn't everyone for gods sake? its brillaint!)

You can also unmitten, which leaves a cuff around your wrists, but otherwise no restrictions.

For altering the appearance, theres quite a few options. You cna adjust the shine (off, low, medium, high) and choose from a variety of rather latex or leather textures to colour it as you see fit. You can adjust the strap, mitten, metal, the pad and the cuff seperatly. It also comes with 24 sub anims built in.

It includes an escape game, which you most likely will end up doing at least once. These mittens carry a very large risk. If you bind yourself without taking the keys first? You're stuck unless some nicer person comes and frees you, or you complete the mini-game. Similary if someone activates teh timelock, then frees you and you take the keys? Stuck. Very evil device. They can of course be exposed to the public at the great risk of removing any chance of freeing yourself unless you do. Make sure to have them proteced if you are messing around and testing.

They include an interesting little mini-game as well. When next to an object, you can try to interact with it via the "touch object" option. This brings up a mini-game with 3 options and you can attempt to put in the right sequence to touch something.

A first for mittens, at least those that I have used - These include binding positions. 6 to be exact, as well as just having the mittens out. Good on Katie for saving us putting cuffs on over the mittens.

They include the typical RF plugins such as mannequin, future bind, etc. and of course a leash. They also include a fully functioning RLV relay, folder access and the other usual RLV options, such as restrictions and auto TP. Lastly they have some sounds built in as well (locking, belt and bell.. Not entirely sure about what the second two do with the mittens not found an option to add a bell to them.)

Theres the masterkey plugin as well as sec owners for those that prefare to give more private access.

In the box you'll find a lot of objects. It boils down to the prim used to activate the mittens, used regardless of mesh or not, a sculpty version and two sets of mesh mittens (basic and opera).
