KDC - Chastity Belt

So, a new toy from KDC

Appearance

As you;d expect from KDC, visually this thing is high quality. It also has a colour hud that lets you fully adjust it to match whatever else you have on, (or to make it stand out more if you're a humiliation, etc kinda person)

It DOES have poses built in but.. Well the function section will explain. Its mesh, in two pieces so you can adjust the waistband and the crotch area separately for a better fit. Each of the rings around the edge can have chains linked to it if you have other TouchBound gear (KDC cuffs to be exact), and you can use the fingerprint lock included to lock each ring, making a padlock appear.

So.. How to put this. First things first, DO NOT BIND YOURSELF TO THE FINGERPRINT LOCK, at least not if you bought this to have your owner lock it on you. Also if you want public play? You have to go buy one of the more conventional padlocks from KDC.

All of KDCs gear uses touchbound these days. You click the lock (finger or normal), click the ring/area you want to lock, and its locked on. If you click say, a ring, then one of her cuffs, it'll chain them together. However, if you do not own any of her cuffs, the belts mostly visual only. Which is why there's so few pics for this one, I don't own any of her cuffs.

Her key system is.. fairly simple I think. If you buy the normal padlocks, you rez them, accept an unlinking permission, you can then take the key and padlock. If you rez them on the ground, anyone can use them, whereas if you wear them, only you can. Unlike the fingerlock, you need to use both items. The padlock to lock things, the key to unlock. Its a simple system, and it does work (I know I said before it was horrible), but I still feel a lot are gonna make mistakes with it unless they read up first. Lets hope this review helps with that.

So, long story short. Belt has poses. Poses can only be used if you have KDC cuffs. Fingerlock can only be used by the person bound to it. Do not bind self to fingerlock if you want it for someone else. Buy padlock if you want more public access.

My thoughts

Its a good looking belt, and the hud allows for plenty of customising, so both pluses there.

I want to try and like touchbound. Its concept is great, but the documentation on its usage is all on KDCs wiki-like page, and most SL users in my experience aren't gonna go shooting off to a webpage to learn this stuff. Hell most of them don't even read NCs in world that come with toys.

Touchbound is a nice idea, but the key system is my major fault with it I suppose. For photoshoots, or D/S play between two long term, it;ll work fine. For those that like spontaneous bondage or sudden RP? Its gonna have some issues.

The T&T Obedience Belt

Oh look, I am reviewing it. Had a long talk with the devices creator in world, and she kindly has lent me a copy to review. Complete with latex pack of course.

Quality

The default look is pretty good, but wil need resizing for most shapes. For more unusual builds, they also offer an exchange service to better fit your shape. There are plenty of extra texture packs, though they cost 100 linden each for those that want them.

I have the latex pack installed in mine, and while its nice and shiny.. I admit it doesn't always look like latex to me, but more like shiny coloured metal. Not bad by any means, but not exactly what I hoped for.

The belt has plenty of little accesories. A wireless access point (router) on the back, some chains, and the keyhole of course, which turns green when the key is in the lock and waiting to be taken.

Function

Straight up I will say this, there are some buttons in this thing that, without the extras you buy that work through the belt, do nothing. Things such as Tie Me require plugins my belt doesn't seem to have yet.

Anyway, moving on to what the base belt DOES have.

This thing has 5 seperate leash points, each one of which has its own leash, so yes, you can anchor a sub to 5 differant rings/posts and effectively make it impossible for her ot move from the spot. It also has a leash handle that can be given out, adjustable length of course and a Quick Leash option to throw one of them up on a leash post.

It comes with pretty much all the expected RLV restriction. Touch, chat, eidt, etc with some added unexpcted ones such as setting the daylight of your subs viewer. As usual I strongly encourage people not to take IM away. The clothing has a seperate menu for allowing/denying the various clothing types.

Belt toys.. For various reasons I won't put any pics of this stuff up, or go into too much detail. Theres the expected things, as well as an option to add a ring to a certain somewhere.. As well as inflatables when the chaste is on, or a shock. When its off you can add things such as hooks, or chains.

There is of course force sit, a couple of pages of anims, appearance adjusting and RLV folder access.

Owners are done in an interesting fashion. You can add sec owners via a menu as always, put full owners need to be added by editing the belt, going to contents, going into the settings NC and adding the name to the Owners= line.

The options menu allows you to do a few more things, such as restrict access to certain menus when the belt is locked, or nab a remote to control the belt from afar. You can setup a backup, re-intialize the belt and turn on an AO as well if you have one built in.

Now maybe my favortie menu. Limits. This belt has a built in limit system, so if something within it is something you really dislike, you can stop people accessing it by going into this menu and turning its functionality off. So of course I use it to stop IM restriction.

All in all, its a chastity belt with options you'd expect more from a collar instead.

I skipped a couple of menus there, specifcally Tie Me and Attached, mostly because they don't work for me at this moment in time due to lack of plugins.

Scores

Quality - It doesn't look bad by any means, but it lacks.. Something - 6/10
Funciton - The normal belt is a collar with some extras, plenty there and Limits is great - 8/10

KaS Neck Corset and Chastity belt

First review of 2012! KaS restraints, which will mean I've covered the entire store..

Neck Corset

Quality

First up, this is KaS. I really don't need to say it looks good, because lets face it, all KaS gear does. All it really needs is an option to hide the metal bar at the front  and maybe have an option to cover the mouth and it would be perfect.. At least to this reviewers opinion.

Liek all KaS gear, it comes with a lot of built in colours, with each section able to be done seperately (Main corset, border, lacing and metal) as wlel as a pattern option that gives it a small design around the dges, that can be a little hard to see.

Function

Lets start as normal, top left. Leash.. Unlike most, you can actually press this and have the leash go into your own hand. Then theres AnyLeash. This lets you leash yourself (or your captive) to anyone and anything in SL. To my knowledge, theres nothing it cannot leash to, though I'm nto sure how it works with mesh objects yet. Third option is leash lnegth, self explainitory.

Bottom left is lock, with the secone been posture. Posture adjusts how high up your head is forced by the neck corset, with normal been not too strict, and high been very. Lastly we have the options menu.

In here, we have a lto more things. Up the top is Update, then add owner. The neck corset can have 5 owners.. And once oen is added, I believe a lot of the options in this menu disapear. Be careful of that. Theres Rem. Owner after it, followed by resize and Hide. Hide is handy for wandering around without removing your (or your subs) restraint as always. You can set it to private or public use, which works well with the hide command as well.

Theres Gag mode, though saldy this does not make the corset lengthen up to cover yoru mouth. It adjust the chin covering to accomodate your mouth bee wide open. Can be set to off, on or auto. Lastly we have Coloring, self explainitory and Animate, which lets you access the the built in anims, and I think you can drop more in as well.

Chastity Belt

Quality

Moving onto the belt now. Its made of tight metal, with what looks to be a rubber border around the waist. Not much to say really, its tight, made of metal and its KaS, so its very highly detailed. You can adjust how glossy it is (Border/metal can be done seperatly or together) and both the border and metal of the belt can be recoloured.

Function

First theres lock, and leave/take key. Can be set to public or private use (private means the key is required for non-owners to use), a leash and some more leashing options. You can leash to a post, or have the belt get a chain to link it to other KaS objects. Lnegth is of course adjustable.

The next menu is Toys.. I think people can guess whats in here. VIbes can be shoved in, turned on and off as well as set to differant levels. theres also a strapon. You can also hide the belt here, or have the metal crotch covering removed or re-secured depending on your mood.

Back to the main menu. Next up is Inspect, which works with Sensations if you use their gear. Next is Give Tools, which gives out two leash holders (one ofr each hand) as well a leash post, a post script for making your own and a manual for the belt.

Next we have options. Theres a **help** option, fairly obvious. The color/shine menu, and update. Then theres the sound volume, which adjust how loud the vibrators get.. Followed by resize. Next is chat menu. This allows you to turn on a channel and command to access the belt without touching it. You can adjust which channel its set to, so only you and your owner knows it if you so desire.

You can allow or deny orgasms with the next option, presumably this works with Sensations again. Lastly there is underwear, a nice little option that makes out that the belt is now worn under your clothing. Very handy as it allows the belt to be left active with whatever nasty options are turned on, as opposed to Hide belt that removes everything.

Neck Corset
Quality - This does look good, no two ways around it. Just needs a couple more options to be perfect to me - 9/10
Function - Has a lot, an effective posture device with everything one needs - 10/10
Price - 1150 linden.. As much as it has, I'm nto sure I can justify this at all - 5/10
Average - 6.. Deserves more, but the price pulls it down.

Chastity Belt
Quality - Looks good, carries a lot of customization. A good belt - 8/10
Function - Has a lot of stuff, and does everything a belt needs.. Bar inflatables anyway, but they aren't 100^ required - 8/10
Price - 495 Linden. Very reasonable - 8/10

Double Review - RF Mask Gag and Chastity skirt

Continuing with the Restrained Freedom gear today, we have the mask gag and the chastity skirt!

Starting with the gag.

It looks great, quite a unique design for SL. Nice tight mask over your moth and nose, straps going around your head, with added blindfold and earmuffs optional. As expected of Katie, the textures are well done, and it comes with plenty of colour options. 9 for the latex,  3 for the metal. You can also have it add a funnel if you want..

On function, this has a fair bit stuffed into it. It has basic RLV options, such as restrict IM (Something that should never be done), shortening emotes, etc. The eyepad of course works as blindfold and the earmuffs can half or fully deafen the sub. It can be exposed, which takes away nearly all control from you if you get the gag put on while its turned on. When ungaged you can switch back quite easily. It also has a gag evasion system, and can alter your camera allowances, from mouselook up 25 meters if turned on.

Theres also the gagging type. There is human, the normal everyday gagging, but also Kitty and Puppy. Using these changes your name in chat to ^Kitty <name>^ or *Puppy <name>*. On the next menu we have some of the more basic options. A key menu (take/leave and give), timelock and the style menu. Its worth nothing that the gag has a timelock that can be put on for as long as a week, which personally would make me murder the gagger, but some like that length.

Theres then a mumbler, which adjust how badly garbled yoru speech is. Mumble, Garble, Incoherant and silence are there as expected (mumble been lightest, silent doing as name suggests). Then there is Pet and Thinking. Pet make syou come wiht nothing but Mmphs, while thinking. For me when testing this, I would get my message come up, and on the next line "Aria thinks ...". Also on this line is Lock, and channel which adjust which channel you are garbled on. The line below handles the blindfold (Faux, half and full) ,earmuffs (partial, full), and the gag/ungag option.

Thats it for the gag, onto the skirt!

It looks pretty good. The skirt is nice and latexy, while the belt itself has some fancy metalwork along the belt itself. It also comes with a pair of cuffs that lock your wrisst to the belt, a nice little addition. As far as I know, this was somewhat designed so that back when it was first made, you could wear a skirt and a belt. As this was before the add command came in, it was a great idea, as you had to wear one or the other, not both back then.

The skirt has 9 colour options, one of which is schoolgirl. I don't think I need to detail that. The belt cvan also eb adjusted with a ton of colours, to the poiint that there are 11 menus underr belt, each with several shades of a colour inside. My only complaint is that we can't recolour the metal rim via this menu, and have to do so via mod, if you know how to anyway.

It has all of katies usualy plugins, the mannequin mode, invisi-cage, etc. and the general RLV plugins (No TP, Inv, etc). There is of course a timelock as well.

There is the accesories menu as well. Under this you can cuff or uncuff the sub as well as use some of the more.. Interesting toys the belt has included. To be exact there is a vibe and anal plug, as well as a strapon for those that really fancy that. The longer the vibe is in, the more powerful it gets it seems. Nasty.

Quality - Its quite high, back when it was first made it would of been great, but its a little dated now - 7/10
