Yes I know I already post a lot less than I used to, but thats covered by this as well.
In short, I have something major going on right now that is taking a lot out of me. As such I am slowing down the reviews a bit while I try and get on top of it.. Some people know what I am talking about, and I don't think I have that many readers who I don't know in SL these days, so I think the majority of said readers understand whats going on
Bear with me, the reviews will continue, and who knows.. Maybe a new store with hundreds of shiny latex restraints will pop up that draw me in.

RF Scavengers Daughter and Ultra-brace
Yeah.. Wierd name. Anyway! Katies been chugging out gear lately, the yoke, and now these two restraints, the Scavengers Daughter and Ultra-brace/ The ultra brace and scavengers thingy seem to have exactly teh same functionality, so that saves me time.
Quality
Scavengers Daughter
This is quite hard to describe. Its all metal, and it does look well detailed as expected. To my surprise it fit perfectly out of the box, nearly making me think it was mesh. The metal looks like well.. Metal. Every rivet is in place, every bar connected properly as you'd expect, small padlocks on the cuffs.. What more is there to say than it looks really good?
You can freely recolour every section as well, each colour keeping the metallic look you'd expect. There is literally so many colour options in thsi that I'm not even gonna count em, it would take forever.
Theres also a resizer in here should it need some simple adjustment. Height can be adjusted seperatly as well.
The good - Well detailed, unique in SL, ton of customizaiton options
The bad - Will likely be difficult to fit for many people
Ultra Brace
This one I;m obviously biased about. Encasement and latex shinyness? Yes please.
Unlike teh daughter, I ahd to adjusta nd shrink this one down a bit to fit right. Its heavy duty. Thick rubber covering you from your neck down, tight straps running down your form, a strong metal frame holding you up.. All this of course leads to total immobilization.
Theres a small frame coming up from the top of the brace that has a small ball on it between two prongs, which conviently fits just where your mouth will be when locked inside as well. Like the Daughter, it has a half ton of colourization options. Same ones as the aforementioned restraint, just differant parts to be coloured.
My only complaints? It looks like a piece of bondage furniture, and may of worked better as one.. And the gags permanent.
The good - Very well detailed, shiny, looks as restrictive as it is
The bad - perma-gag, looks like furniture instead of worn restraint
Function
Going over it, its nto got much new to say for an RF restraint. The usual RF plugins for those little fun moments, leashing, RLV menu, and option to turn off style change.. An RLV relay and full RLV folder access as well.
You can get items out of it, Leash holders to be exact as normal. Post and one for each hand, and a help NC. Its exposable, blockable, has Verbose. Can be unbound to let you walk around freely with it hidden, always a handy thing and of course theres the ever important timelock.
Both restraints immobilize you, and the ultra brace gags you as well. No option to ungag sadly.. The ultra brace also is setup for alpha usage. Merely make a folder in yoru inventory called RF ultra-brace alpha, drop it in the RLV folder, and drop the alpha inside it.
The good - Simple menus, has everything they need in it.
The bad - Braces no ungag option (same as above)

Dark Elf Manufacturing - Ravenhold Latex Collar
Another store contacted me recently about revieiwng some of their gear.. So here it is.
Quality
This collar is certainly unique in desigh. Its shiny, black with a purple lining along the front lacing as well as inside. The feather design is an interesting touch as well. To be honest I'm not sure I have it on right..
Regardless, in design it seems to be a posture collar, and the textures do look very nice.. But it has no colour options. You're stuck with the black and purple. It also can be a little annoying to fit properly.
The Good - Well textured, unique design, shint
The bad - no colour options, can be difficult to fit.
Function
When I was visiting the store and speaking with one of its owners, I was informed taht all the collars they stock have the exact same functionality. As such oen review covers them ALL. Saves me soem work down the line I suppse. Kinda like kidnapped in that way.
However, unlike kidnapped, theres a hell of a lot in these collars..
As always, top left to bottom right. This list is from the locked menu, I think the list order chanegs when unlocked.
First up there is the ever brillaint timer. You can use this to of course set how long the restraint is locked for, but also use it to set up regular shocks, whether or not it unleashes you and even if it frees you from the animation you are currently using. Following this is Update, self explanitory.
Theres a bell in here as well. Can adjust how loud it is, and turn it on or off. The RLV menu gave me some trouble, as when locked I had the optiont o turn RLV on, and that was it. When unlocked it let me in a bit further. You can access teh RLV folders, turn on various RLV restrictions and of force TP as well.
The Shock menu is a sort of gag I suppose. Should the wearer speak while its active, they recieve a nasty shock. The higher the setting, the worse the shock, which of course has accompanying anims.
The next menu is giveme. In it are a few interesting things. 3 differant handles, a landmark, an anchor for the leash, and a leashpost. Theres also a posestand, and of course an instructions NC. Following this is the owners menu, which lets you add someone nearby as an owner.
You can enable and disable a posture anim, which holds your head up straight, and adjust the collar to be set for male, female or "other" via the gender menu. Other acts as if you were an genderless object.
On the next page, the first thing is Leash. You cna adjust its length, have to attach to a post or just activate a general leash.
Theres a readme here for some reason, it seems functionally the same as the instructions button under giveme. On the next row is a button for adjusting the chat channel used ot enter the menu. Default is /1 (example /1 awmenu). Following that is the ever fun Expose command.
Next up we have the "partners" button. THis is not an owners style menu as expected, but is instead a list of anims meant for well, Partners. Couples, etc. Theres an AO in the next menu. It comes with a couple of stands, the same walk AO as the OC one uses, but also has a Pony and crawl set to use as well.
Commands is next, which makes local give out the long liust of chat based commands you can use. You can also set it up to ignore commands on channel 0 (default, no / required), which I personally find handy. I hate it when people spam awmenu inc hat instead of using /1 awmenu. Using /1 hides it in local, gives a little more surprise if you suddenly change pose or have someone access it, etc.
Lastly we have Animate, which does as the name suggests. It has 45 anims bult in, including some that have little restrictions. Such as Stay, which forces you to stay kneeling on the spot.
The Good - Lot of stuff built in.
The bad - The menus could be tidied up a bit, Stuff like Expose, update, etc could be under a settings menu to clean it up a little. No hide command

Kcreations Mesh Ballet Boots
More meshy goodness from Kcreations. Thigh length ballet boots!
Quality
There are two mateirals availble. Patent and Leather. Both look amazing, though I favour the Patent for reasons that really should be obvious by now.
These boots add a bit more to the bondage scene than the pony boots, with snug ankle straps added in, and a very nice walk AO I iwll cover in function.
As expected from Kat, these boots are extremely well detailed, and been mesh, they fit great, flex as and when they should and generally just look amazing. The HUD allows for a ton of colour options, allowing you to ensure the boots are colour coded with your outfit exactly.
The only bad thing I have to say? I wish she;d release a pair of these thigh length boots with the more normal design, and I know someone who woudl flal head over heels for a pair like that.
The good - Pretty much everything. I can't fault these really. Lots of detail, ton of customization. Perfect thigh lentgh ballet heels.
The bad - Hm.. As of now, I have nothing to put here.
Function
Like the Pony boots, these don;t have all that much here (yet), but still have some welcome additions. There is of course the amazing colour hud, which instantly makes for a great piece. You can adjust the locking to be Private or Public and adjust how hard it is to escape the boot lock, ranging from Easy to Impossible. You can also reset escape progress though this menu if you are really evil. The escape game is the ever useful tug, yank or pull one. Pull the right ones till you escape.
What this has thats new, and works very well, is the Walk AO. It can be toggled on and off, always a welcome option. It can be set to Mild, Medium or Severe, each levfel making you walk more slowly with a very nice walking AO, which is pretty realistic all things considered.
When locked it has a timer (/cheer). As always, the addition of this is a huge boost for the restraint.
The Good - Timer, Nice AO, amazing hud.
The bad - Could use some more bondagey stuff

DS Technologies - Rubber Puppy
Another review after merely a day? I must be crazy.
I'm using a slightly differant system this time, summarising the good and bad at the end of their sections and leaving the scores area a bit cleaner. Any comments on whether this is better or worse would be appreciated.
Also the first time i have someone guest write for my blog, most due to necessity. So say hello to Lance, his post is in the ---- area ----

The idea here is to turn the sub into a fetish canine appearing helpless pet. This does that qute well to some extent, all nice tight shiny rubber. The tattoo layer outfit you get with it seems kind of low res though, and a little blurry because of it.
I'm not into puppy play, or the whole animal shaped hood thing, but the textures and design of this one are well done, and it blends quite well with the tattoo layer, alebit slightly more detailed.
The paws on the other hand seem.. Off. The're just flat black or whatever colour your chose, not rubbery at all.
The good - Shiny, actually makes you look like a rubber pup
The bad - Low res texture on the main outfit, paws lack detail.
Function
Quite a lot to say here.
Fromt he subs perspective, this is a tough restraint to deal with. The hud shown is the means by which the sub can act, all of those buttons apparently make you do an emote, however the sub has no way of knowing if an animation happens or not.
This is because the sub is forced into mouselook at all times, if you zoom out, the hud goes pure black, you can see nothing. And its not toggable, which is a strike against it. You can click the hud by holding down alt, which makes you abel to freely move the mouse instead of the camera.
The second strike against it? The only person the sub can IM, or recieve IMs from, is the keyholder. This is of course a major issue as it is also not toggable. At least with most IM blocks, its just you who can't talk, with this you can't recieve messages either.
At first you can;t hear anything, just get a lot of "...". Over time you can 'learn' words You can only know 20 advanced words at one time, and there are about 30 core words as well.
You need to hear a core word 10 times to learn it, with only one time per minute counting. Advanced words take 20 times, only once per 3 minutes counting. You can remove words as well.
We didn't have the time, nor patience, to overly test this, but it seems both interesting and annoying at the same time. Its functionally very well done, but in use it is defiantly only for the heavy puppy play RPers.
I had Lance help me with this, so the following bits on the owners menu are his impressions.
----
Hey all
First up, you get an MD style menu, you can only choose to lock, no more. Once inside you can choose to make the captive a stray, a button which has no explaination at all in the NC. What it does is set the boundees home to the location they are at, remove you as owner of the restraint, leave anyone free to take control, and leave the sub locked inside.
You can set a home for the puppy, and use the menu to send them their at any time. It has a mode button, which allows you to cycle between Public (expose), owner and group and just owner. You can leash and timelock as well. Theres also a muzzle, which stops the captive using the Bite command.
There is give treats and give toys as well. Toys can be thrown for the sub to fetch, with various settings that can adjust speed and such. Treats restore a bit of stamina, which I think Aria can cover as I have no idea what its for.
Theres a load of hearing commands, we didn't have much time so we couldn't actually test to see how well the learning worked, but its all done via chat in channel 44 (I.E /44Aria hearing teach girl). You can also rename the puppy using these commands.

Back to me.
Theres training system as well. When bound you can approach people and.. Sniff them once per 30 seconds or so. Sniff someone 10 times and you can see their display name.Theres also scent, which we never goit to test, but apparently it lets you track the trainer and any treats or toys they throw.
There is a stamina "stat" that goes down over time, when it gets low, you need to sleep. It can be raised at the Laps building or at an Agility course. I'm guessing these the buildings outside DSTs store. Every 6 minutes you sleep restores an hours worth of stamina. When sleeping, you are blind, deaf and mute.
The Good - Well done scripting, very good for Puppyplay RPers, very well done hud system
The Bad - Auto IM block, Auto Mouselook, not for casual play,
Scores
Quality - 7/10
Function - 8/10
Price - 1000 linden, functionally worth it, but only for the hardcore. - 6/10

RF Wooden Yoke
A new product from RF, released just tonight. Tad out of my area, not usually a yoke, or wood, person.
Quality
As you'd expect from RF, it looks good for what it is. A plank of wood, sawn in two with holes made in 3 locations that, when the wood clsoes together, lock your hands and head in place. Metal work added around the holes and around the outside of the wood to further strength it and help make sure that it holds the captive secure, all of this is of course highly detailed, right down to the many rivets.
Thats all I can really say. You can't adjust how it looks, so you have what I think is a red wood (I'm not good with wood types) with a silvery metal frame around it.
One thing though, it is possibly the first non-mesh product from RF that fits me right out of the box. However it DOES have clipping issues with certain AOs and your chin. A forced head pose might be handy in a future update. Pic below shows the issue.
Function
Starting from top left as always. You have the plugins menu. Inside you find the RF plugins and a leash, as well as RLV menu with full folder access, an always welcome addition. It also has a resizer, which is handy.
Moving onto the settings menu, you can get some items for leashing purposes. A leash holder for your left or right hand, a post, and a help NC. You can also adjust Verbose, whether the item can be blocked or not, update and reset it through this menu. You can also expose it if you really want to risk suddenly be locked up in it by the public, which can be fun at times.
It has a sub anim menu, with 39 included and the option to add mroe of your own, it has the ever welcome timelock, with two differant types. You can do the traditional timeloock and get free at end of timer, or timebound, which frees you form the restraint, but does not remove any sec owners or keyholders.
It has the RF Masterkey of course, and can (according to the NC) have 20 sec owners. As I have no intention of asking 20 people to line up for me to add due to the inherant risk, I won't be testing that.
You can of course walk around without it showing, and merely have to hit bind if you want to get locked up.
Scores
Quality - Its RF, so its well detailed. Not shiny, but its not like everythig can be latex - 8/10
Function - Does what a yoke needs ot, has some nice little extras - 8/10
Price - 250 linden. I can't complain about this - 9/10

So, the new RR stuff
Or at least, the new hud.
The ropes, straps, vixen cuffs and I believe elegance set all have new poses buitl in, and via this new hud (get ti via plugins > anims. Seperate one for each locking part, I.E legs, hands, etc)
Using this hud, or even the anims menum you cna later the pose you are in to soem extent. Hogties for example will now be able to cycle through you lieing on your front, then one of your sides and in the case of the cuffs, even on your back. It adds a lot of new poses to the basic bondage as well, even to the point you can get a hands above head pose as if you are suspended by your wrists or chained to the ceiling. The impact that the literally ton of new variants that these items now have will make them amazing for RP, allowingf or much more precise bondage.
So far I have yet to find anything else majorly changed from my review, but this Hud system is still huge. Going from about 6 poses max per item to having 6 poses that then can be alter into as many as 30 differant in some cases is a big update.
Oh, and you can set it up to cycle on a timer as well, just to keep the bondage interesting instead of static.
This post will be updated as and when I test any other changes they may or may not have.

Major RR update
Marine Kelly has released a sizable update to her gear. This update has in some cases added a half ton to the devices that my reviews ar eno longer all that accurate function wise.
As such I will probably do a mass reviuew of the new functions and cover them soon. The major change is the new hud system which I'll explain later.

Straight up, I love how this looks. Plenty of colour options, able to change the appearance by removing the boning, the bar and the cover.. And of course each section has access to the aforementioned colour options. It of course forces your head up like a posture collar.
It can take a little effort ot fit, but once its on, it looks really nice for the most part, and is of course suitably shiny and detailed. A few people may know what I mean when I say Mouth corset,a nd thats pretty much what this thing is.
There are 7 parts that can be retextured seperately, each with a fair few options, some more than others.
The bones can be hidden via the texture menu and hitting transparent, as opposed to show/hide which the bar and cover use.
If only I could wear this more often, but it has a major issue which will be covered in..
Function
I'll start with the good. It uses a basic menu system for changing which parts of the restraitn are shown. The bar, the boning and the cover. You can switch which channel is needed to garble when teh cover is up outside of RLV, and thankfully is has force/auto garble in RLV. You cna of course set an owner, and they cna in turn set secowners.
You cna block it, to sotp random peopel accessing it, as well as drop poses in it for general use. Ther eis also a button for chekcing how much memory it has left. And of coruse it can be locked.
The owner can also multi leash a string of subs together, which seems fun and handy for those that have multiple subs/captives. More neat than having them clustering and getting stuck against each other certainly.
And the bad.. The thing that stops it been usable for general fun. The cover when shown gags you. This is good. It also has autp IM block, which cannot be turned off. This may nto be a big deal to some, but to me its a major issue thats losing functionality 2 points straight away. I don;t think I need to explain why, in a social networking "game" like program, I find this atrocious.
Now its possible I've msised something and there was an update to remove it, but hitting the update button does nothing for me, whetehr at their store or not. Nor do I get an error message or it telling me I have the current version, it just seems to sit there searching, another strike against it.

Quality - Like I said, I love this things looks - 9/10
Function - I like the leashing system, it has some good, but the IM block and lack of working updater is a severe strike against it - 5/10
Price - 650 linden. I'd give this 8 if it wasn;t for the messy functionality driving the value down. - 6/10
