ThinkKink - Screwn Post (Rustic)

This is my first proper furniture review (the vaccube was differant), so bear with me. Also later than promised, but I'm no good at this scheduling malarky.

Quality

You can adjust its appearance in the Chameleon menu under >Device Egyption, Dungeon, Weathered and Cabot

Dungeon is a wooden post. Quiet a dull wooden colour, the kind you'd expect in a dockside kidnappers hut I'd say.  Up thte top it changes to metal that looks rusted, with a metal ring bolted into it, also somewhat tarnished. The TK logo is also up there, just above the ring.

Weathered is similar, but a whitewood.  Egyptian completed chanegs it to a stone post with carvings and a golden cap, and Cabot makes it look a lot more looked after, varinished wood, non-rusted, etc. See pics for more details. Upper left is Cabot, right is Egyption. The lower left is Weathered and lower right is Dungeon.

Function

This was hard to test, like most furniture it requries two people to do so properly, as such a friend of mine is also shown in the pics tied to the post.

Lets see.. The First option is >Device . In there the first thing to catch your eye will likely be >TRAPMODE. In here you can turn on the Trap, as well as certain RLV restricitons, specifically ForceView and Chat and IM Muting/deafening

Under >Options, you can adjust the Language it uses, its Range, whether RLV is on or off, and mute the post in local. You can also update and reset it here. Back in the main menu, you can hide the TK logo on the top, and there is of course the menu for changing its appearance between the four types. Theres also Clr Wanted, which removes all current "Warrents." More on this later.

The next menu lets you adjust whoc an access the post. Its pretty self explanitory. You can add or remove people as needed, set it to group, etc. Then tehres >Arousal. In ehre you can turn Xcite on or off, stimulate yoru victim, etc. Not gonna go too deep into details, want to keep my G rating and all.

The Graboid menu is next, and allows you to set how far the post will scan for a victim, then let you gran one within that range, upt o a max of 60m.

Under>>>Get, you can get the manual for the post, a relay, a relay help card, the store LM, a whip, a paddle, and some basic cuffs. Handy stuff.

Once you get someone on the post, you get a few ore menus. First is >Avatar. In here you can eject them from the post, force into mouselook (ugh) or strip (doubleugh). Then theres perfect pose. Now I spoke to the owners about this, and apparently they are putting in a system that uplaods a specific avatars position on the post to a server, and will always rebind the avatar in the correct place, so you don;t lower the pose for one person, then have the next hop on with their legs through the ground. Each person has their own pose rememebred. Handy.

It has 5 poses built in, some pretty basic but still nice ones. Nothing overly special. You can hang them by their wrists, bind them with their back to the room, with their back to the post, more tightly to the post and up on the tips of their toes.

You get a further 10 poses if a second person sits on the post, opening up the >Action menu instead of >pose. For various reasons involving the nautre of these poses, I won't go into too much detail.

Lastly you can lock and unlock it.

Now this post is Copy/Mod. As far as i know, thats a pretty big deal, as you can throw as many down as you like. Theres also 4 differant posts in total, aside from the Rustic I was given to test.

Its also 11 prims, not many, so handy for those little skyboxes.

Scores

Quality - Pretty nice detail, not much customiation - 7/10
Function - Does some basic stuff, decent amount . - 7/10
Price - 995 linden. Its Copy/mod, so I guess that ramps it up? - ?/10

The price i have no clue on. If it was a worn restraint, I'd score it pretty low for the balance of customization and functionality with that pricetag, but my lack of knowledge in this area makes it hard to score. I'll leave that up to the poeople who buy these things regular, at least until I get a few more pieces to properly gauge them against.

  1. I hope I am not the first commenter...because these are very informative reviews, I find most - including this one - to be spot on from my experiences.

Anyways, while your friend is wearing teh recognizable Karu Karu, what brand of latex are you in may I ask?

    1. Hey there. Not the first no, though one of the few I'm a fraid to say. Glad you like the reviews

The catsuit I have on is from the latex surrender kit from MB ( http://restrainedreviews.blogspot.co.uk/2012/02/maison-broceliande-latex-surrender.html ) and my personal favorite catsuit in SL.
