[H]arsh Straitjacket

I think I'm in love.

Quality

Where do I even begin? This jacket is mesh, and comes in a large variety of sizes, so get the demo first and check which one fits you best.

Once you're fitted.. Well. You should get the jacket on. Its beautifully sculpted, its meshness means it fits out of the box. Even without the alpha, the XS one fitted me near perfectly. The first thing after that? attach the aspect hud so you can fiddle with looks. And it has a ton built in.

Depending on the texture you choose for each part, you can also adjust the colour. The latex texture can't really be adjusted, though I believe Dari plans on adding more as time comes. If you choose one of the white canvasy ones though, colour away to your hearts content. It has the full range of colours you can get in SL as well.

The main body parts have 4 textures to start. A plain black, a white canvas (default), a more grayish one, and black latex. All are stunning, and the latex looks amazing even without the shine option turned on.

The straps work a little differently. The built in collar and crotch strap can be hidden for example, via the aspect hud, as can the chest covering for those that want some exposure on your sub/victim/captive. The stomach is also hidable, as is the crotch covering altogether, allowing for just the very top and sleeves, bolero style.

If you choose the main straps point on the hud, you can recolour them all. They have three textures as well, plain black, and two canvas ones that can be recoloured. Coupled with shine, they can also compliment the latex even more.

Then we get onto poses. This thing comes with 14 different bind poses, and when you change to each one, you even do a little struggle anim, as if testing its strength. They work amazingly well. It also has another 8 poses built in under the animate menu. You can also choose to uncover/cover the hands.

I think the pictures sum up the rest better than I could ever describe.

Function

Obviously theres the aspect hud just mentioned for adjusting its colour/visibility/shinyness/texture. Then there's the flex hud for the actual control. Once activated and detected, you can click on the SJ icon on this hud, and you will come to a menu with 6 options. Owner controls (add/manage owners). The owners also needs a flex hud, though if you previously bought Dari's harness AND the SJ, you should have two anyway.

The next option is lock. Do I really need to explain..? Same for the next, leash. Though it has a few different options. You have the usual grab, post and length, but you also can link it to the various leash points on the SJ, and beckon.. Which I couldn't test alone, but it apparently summons the SJ wearer to your side. If I'm right, I think that force walks/TPs them to you, though they need to be on sim for the HUD to pick them up.

The timelock is pretty nice. You can adjust what stuff with unlock when it runs out. It allows you add to anything from a few seconds to well.. Months at a time. Though truth be told, under a good captor, I could wear this thing for months.

The next menu is animate, covered above, and the next is Bind, also covered somewhat. When bound, you get a few touch restrictions put on for fun, and can struggle by pressing Shift+A/D or Shift +left/right arrow

And one of the best bits? She uses an RLV alpha system. Just throw the alphas available on the marketplace (link included with the restraint) into the RLV folder, and bam, every time you change visibility of your restraint, it attaches the correct alpha.


Extra - Flex hud mini tutorial for owners

As far as I know, it works like this for first time users.

1. Sub wears restraint(s) (harness and/or SJ), wears hud, waits for hud to detect restraints
2. Sub goes into restraint menu, goes to owner, adds the owners.
3. Sub repeats for other restraint if owning both
4. Sub detaches hud, sends hud to owner
5. Owners attaches hud. They should now have access.

That's for the owners without a hud of their own. I think if they already have a hud, its far simpler

1. Sub wears hud, add owner.
2. Owner uses own hud, has access.

If I am wrong about any of this, please let me know!

RR Tape Gag and Blindfold set

Tape! And from Marine, we know its gonna be good. I so hope this means we're getting a tape bondage set to follow!

And yes, I have actually down two reviews in under a week again.

Quality

First up, its mesh. Instant plus there. Very easy to resize and fit is also a plus.

In terms of looks.. the gag has four, the blindfold one, both with 8 colours and 3 skin tones for 'clear' tape. The tape itself is very well textured, as expected, and looks pretty snug. Admittedly I had some minor issues getting all 4 combos to fit me at once without needing a small bit of fien tuning everytime I switch, but thats probably due to my head being not quite normal shaped.

The main hit of this tape gag is very well done though, and realistic for a change. Everytime you tighten the gag in the menu (more on this below), more tape appears on your the captives face, just like it should do. The final layer coats the entire lower face, and looks amazing.

Function

Gag

The first 4 options are simple. Total is at the top, with Loose, medium and tight just below it. Each one of these of course adjust how strict the gag is. I;ve covered this system before in previous reviews of Marines restraints.

Below that we have the Tie option, which 'locks' the tape, allowing only the person who Tied it to access it, barring realkeys of course. How you lock tape is beyond me, but it helps keep wandering fingers in check.

The second option is Last Plug, which merely takes you back into the last plugin you accessed. The next lets you Loosen or Tighten the restraint, which I believe makes the escape mini game harder or easier depending.

Next is the Special submenu. In here you can turn off the /77 channel access, adjust the alarm, access the Last Plugin again, make the gag silent in local, and adjust the timer. The timers has two ways you can adjust, add as set time (10 min, 1 hour, 12 hour, etc,), or choose a range and let it select a certain amount of time from within said range. (1/2 hour- 2 hours, 2hr-6hr, etc) The second option can be much more evil of course. You can hide the timer from the world here as well, leaving the sub to try and manually time it, or just wait it out with no idea how long there is to go.

The plugins menu has 6 built in, the Realkey, a RL timer you can sue instead of inworld timer, the menu to let you adjust which colour the gag is, the autolock menu (which lets you set up the gag to lock after a certain amoutn of time has passed). Theres also Give keys, and the sub sub menu for Gag..

The "gag.." menu is pretty uch RLV settings. You can disable or enable channel evaion, emtoe monitoring, whether the gag notifies the key owner, etc. Another handy bit is the owner of the restraint (the sub so to speak) can adjust whether IMs can be blocked or not by the keyholder.

Back on the main page, all thats lef tis the "more.." button, which just gives you a quick timer menu, as well as a button to access the more in depth timeroptions.

Blindfold

The blindfold has 6 options, each one making the vision blocking more severe. Below them is Tie again, except using this also rezzes the blindfold, a faux mode you could say, handy for RP. Next to that is Last Plug and Tighten/loosen again.

The Special menu is also identical, as is the More Menu. Plugins wise you have all the ones from the gag, with the exception of course of the "Gag.." menu.

Quality - Best looking tape gag/blindfold in SL, which is oddly lacking in such things - 9/10
Function - The actual gagging functionality and blinding works well, lacks some plugins, but those are just extras - 8/10
Price - 350 linden. Thats cheap as hell - 9/10

DEM - The Goddess Set

I'm lazy, sue me. I know I should review more often, but hey, times are busy.

Quality

Soo.. We have  quite a fancy set of cuffs here. The collar and belt are golden rings, slightly tapered with a zigzag design splitting them into two golden sections. The cuffs themselves are more liek bangles and armbands. Personally I got a very anctient egyptian feel from them, and find they would work very well in tandem with an outfit based on that era.

They only have the on appearance, however for the most part the appearance suits what the item is intended to be, so I can't deduct from it too much there.

Also, its mesh.

Function

To start off, in the words of the person who made this set, the cuffset itself is more of a beta/freebie release, the meat of this is in the collar.

So we'll start with the cuffs. One most of the gear you'll get four menus, Lock, resize, cancel and owner. If you click on the wrist or ankle cuffs, you'll also get pose. The locking system is simple yet effective. If you get locked withotu all the gear on for example, then add another piece of the set, it will auto lock as well. Resize is simple enough that i needs no explanation, as is owner and cancel.

For pose, the arms have three built in. Front, back and head. These are all fairly normal poses, and the ankle ones merely have the option to shuffle walk, or hobble in other words. Clearly these cuffs are designed for dragging your sub around and showing them off, as opposed to doing heavy duty restraint on them.

The collar is pretty similar to my previously reviewed DEM collar ( link ). In fact is so similar, the only differant is that the Goddess set can be hidden, but lacks a bell, which makes sense given its design. It does mean it suffers from menu clutter however.

Tinkers Toys - Pet kennel

After my previous blog, a certain person who owns a little store of a kinky nature snet me this, as a sort of comparison to the previous review. So here we go.

Quality

So, first up, its a hexagon that appears to be made of what might be marble. Would certainly look good in a stately home. When someone climbs in, some metal bars appear to seal the person in and make sure they behave. Lastly theres a small grey hexagon at the back of it on the inside, and a grey border on the outside.

And.. That appears to be it. You can't change the pose, the colour of the kennel or bars.. You get the sub locked in, and they stay there in that hands and knees pose till you decide to let them out.

Function

If no ones inside, you get two options. Capture or Get In. Both require RLV to work, or you can merely right click and go to sit to Get In without force sit.

One someone is on, the captor gets a few menu options. First is Eject, which does as the naem suggests, then theres Take key, the RLV menu, and the Timer.

The timer is simple, turn it on, add or remove time, it runs down, they get out.

The RLV menu, once you turn RLV on, has the basics. You can stop them seeing location, accessing inventory, etc, the usual options. Somehow this broke my normal relay, so had to switch to a differant one for tests. Otherwise works as expected.

And.. again, thats it

Quality - No customization, one pose. Looks fancy, but lack of options hurts it - 6/10
Function - Lock it, maybe RLV restrict. Thats it. - 5/10
Price - Its 125 linden. Cheap I suppose, but not much to it either. 6/10


This is by no means a bad device, its mod/copy at least, so plenty can be lain around and you can retexture it if you know how and want a differant look. You can recolour it but.. that doesn't look so good. In comparison, the THinkKink one (copy), is 299 linden, gives a lot of colour options, some poses, has a more detailed look (and is mesh).. Its worth the extra bit.

And now I may actually have a store blacklist me, yay!

ThinkKink Pet pod

I'm not dead! Just sometimes feels like it. RL is a bitch.

Quality

First up - Its MESH! Don't buy if you're old fashioned and are on those crappy non-mesh enabled viewers.

Its.. a pet carrycage, the type you'd keep a dog in I feel. Although a great deal larger, with nice little windows cut out so the sub gets some light and of course the wire mesh locking door.

In terms of appearance editing, you start with beige. Moving in via the >Devie then Chameleon menu however lets you choose between a grand total of 9 colours. Baby Blue, Baby Pink, Banana, Beige, Grape, Grey, Lime, Melon and Orange.

There are 5 poses built in, Attract, Feed, Lay, Panic, and Snooze. Each one has a little message that accompanies it, and Feed also rezzes a good bowl in the cage. When locked, two padlocks also appear.

Function

Your very first option is Open Door. When you do this, a new option also appears, graboid, with Close Door appearing where Open was before. The graboid has soem fancy settings.. You can set its range of course, and try to have it grab someone,b ut you can also set its Accuracy. Turn this down and it seems the victim can 'dodge' the grab.

Under >Device you get the meat of the pod. first up, in caps, is >TRAPMODE, in here you can obviously turn on whether or not it grabs people by itself. You can also adjust what RLV settings are applied, including chat muting and deafening (Stopping you speak, and stopping you hear), IM blocking (NO!), whether it auto locks or not, and Forceview, which forces your camera to a specific place.

Next in the device menu is options. Some basic stuff, turn RLV on or off, adjust language, etc. theres Hide button, which hides the TK logo above the cages door, Chameleon, mentioned above in Quality,  Access, again self explainitory, lets you adjust who can access the toy.

Then theres Clr Wanted, which clears all 'outstanding warrents' as the machine puts it. From how I understood it, if you hit this while someone is logged off, it will nto regrab them when they log back in, and other such things.

Back on the Main Menu, we have timer next. In here you can of course adjust how long the person inside is locked for. You can also adjust the penalty (which increases the timer if the captive touches the pod or leaves mouselook when its forced), or turn it off, as well. Under settings you can put on some fancy timer things. P. Normal is your basic timer, tells you how long is left. P. Excluded shows the original timer, then the penalty time seperatly. Count Up reverses teh way the timer works, starting from 0 and going up to whatever the duration the timer is set for. Random does any of the above.

You can also set E.Eject, which boots the captive out when the timer is done. Handy for traps.

Lastly on the Main Menu is >>> Get, which gives you some items. You can get the TK manual, some help NCs, a paddle, some cuffs, a whip, the store LM and of coruse a toy of an intimate nature.

On all menus is -Cancel-, which closes the menu.

Once your victim climbs in, a lot mor emenus appear, first of which is pose, covered above. Both the victim and the captor get access to the Perfect Pose menu, something covered in a previous blog, that ultimately lets you adjust wher eyou are int he pod, and affects all the pods in SL for your avatar. Saves your Avatars data server side.

Theres also >Avatar. In here you can adjust the RLV settings, strip your captive, force them into mouselook and mess with the arousal menu, which lets you sexually toy with them. Tad explicit for me to go into too much detail, I want to keep a G rating, but I will say it supports Xcite.

Other stuff

Like all TKs toys now, its copy! So you can put up an entire kennels worth if you like.

I was wearing the DStech latex puppy gear along with the MB latex surrender catsuit in this shoot. The other model was Lyra, a friend of mine whos also on DA.

Smooching Serpents Caged Fetish

This is a new bed just recently created by Eve Light of Smooching serpents Its pretty.. big.

Quality

First up the bed seems to be made of latex, a plus right off the bat.  It also has a built in vacbed however.. All but two of the vacbed settings have a gasmask latched on, that cannot be removed by any means bar the two poses mentioned before. From the people I've shown it to and my own opinion, this is kinda not good. An option to remove would be amazing.

It also has 11 different colours for the bed frame, a stand off to the side of the bed with a selection of some "toys". It has a large selection of poses, with several for solo (separated into boy and girl menus) and a half ton of couples ones, and even a selection for a party of three. Been a bed, and this been SL, most of the poses are sex based of course.

In the couples menu, certain other props become available, including a Throne, a Cross, pillory, bench and a throne, pretty much a complete dungeon.

It also has Ambiance, which well.. Lets say it needs some work for people on the highest settings, especially for the HotWinter option (See the bright white picture).

Function

As always, top left to bottom right. Very First option is "START" Hitting this pulls the sheet off the bed, resses the stand with the toys to the side and as it suggests, gets everything started. Two poseballs also rez next to the stand, from which you can click the toys to receive a copy to use.

The next option is ".VACUUM", in here you of course access the Vacbed. You can select one of 6 poses for solo, as well as adjust the breath coming out of that gasmask. Couples has another 6, alongside the breath ones.

Following this is "SOLO", in here you can choose from the poses mentioned earlier. After that is "COUPLES". In this menu you can find the most poses overall, as well as the bondage furniture such as the Cross and Throne. Then there is "3 SOME", which is more limited unfortunately.. Then we come to "RLV". In here you can capture up to 3 victims, as well as get a relay out of it, and of course a help NC.

Next up is "CAGE", which of course has a few RLV restrictions of its own, including no touch. The cage is actually separate to the bed, with its own menus. You can of course open and close the door, have the cage go away and adjust who can access the cage (Owner, group, public).

Then we have the sadly high graphic unfriendly "Ambiance", followed by "*DESIGN", both of which I covered earlier. Then we have "*STOP", which puts the bed back to its default state, puts away all the props and I believe unlocks anyone on it.

Lastly there is Options. In here we have "ResetChains" which does as the name suggests, resetting the chains going from a victims cuffs to the bed. Hitting "BallUsers" changes who can use the poseballs, specifically between ALL and GROUP. "MenuUsers" does the same, only it also includes an OWNER only option. You can adjust the, dump and save the position of some of the poseballs I believe with the next three options, then adjust the Height with the next. You can also Dump and/or Save the beds props (such as the toy stand I think) with the next two options.

Lastly you can turn Chat info on or off and Shut down the bed. Shut down brings you to another menu that lets you Reset the positions and menus, Restart the bed and also check the config card. Otherwise you can just hit the shut down option within this menu which turns all the scripts and such off. You can turn it back on by touching it again.

Other Info

Its copyable , No mod or trans.

So yeah, I have been working on a few things to review (To the people who sent me things, please be patient!)

To help my blog in part though, mostly the money side, I'll be well.. Aucitoning myself off as a sub for a currently undecided period of time. Obviously limits will need to be taken into account.
